Founded by Abbas Jaffery, Evan Minto, Adela Chang (all former Crunchyroll software developers), and Krystyn Neisess, Omoi distributes manga from English manga publishers like Kodansha and J-Novel Club, as well as exclusive series licensed directly from Japan, like My Dear Detective: Mitsuko’s Case Files and Our Aimless Nights. Fans can read manga on Web, iOS, and Android, and Omoi pays royalties back to publishers based on readership data.

Omoi is built by a small but mighty team at KiraKira Media Inc. in lovely San Francisco, CA. We originally launched the service on June 28, 2021 under the name Azuki, and changed our name to Omoi on November 13, 2025.
